I must apologize that I had not had much time to blog and keep my students updated, however, I am happy that my 3E3 students miss that and have encouraged me to do so.

So this is the latest on the Sci (Chem) Files & Chapter 9 Assignment they have to submit.

This post will list all the IRRESPONSIBLE students who have yet to submit these items although they have been reminded umpteen times about it.

For 3E1, these students who have not submitted their Chapter 9 Assignments, and I am not sure how they plan to pass their test and examinations when they do not get their work graded. I seem to be having better respond from 3E3, a smaller percentage of students have yet to hand in their files. They are Lim Minn Laura, Lim Yi Pei Jazreel, Cheng Kai Xuan Bervin, Cheong Wei Chong James, Hadi Al-Hazim B Mohd Isa, Jonas Tay Yipeng, Lim Jian Wei Amos, Robin Low Yihui and Sim Wei Xiang.

These students have also not handed up their Chapter 9 Assignment. It shows a LACK of RESPONSIBILITY and RESPECT for their own self! 3E3 Chapter 9 Balancing Chemical Equations

This week has been a busy week with remedials and bringing students to Ngee Ann Polytechnic to attend a workshop on the Science of Cosmetics.

3E3 students learnt how to balance chemical equations. They are expected to complete the exercises found in their notes. They have been told if they can solve all questions on their own, they have mastered the technique of balancing chemical equations.

4A2 GCE N Level 1998 paper & Test on Organic Chem

Students were made to complete the GCE N Level 1998 paper. After that their class test on Organic Chemistry was returned to them and corrections done.

1A2 checked their answers for Practical Activity C1.1 before handing them up. Those who forgot to bring their books were made to stay back after school to perform a punishment.

4A2 Organic Chemistry

Yesterday, the students (Absentees: Justina Soh Kim Sia & Chiang Zhang Min) were made to give one piece of information each, they have learnt about Organic Chemistry before they were allowed to sit down.

A summary of this chapter & corrections were then done.

They seem prepared for a test on Chapter 14 (Organic Chemistry: The Hydrocarbons) which was conducted today (Absentee: Yeo Hwee Ying).

After grading the 10 MCQs, majority of the class scored between 7 and 10 out of 10 questions. 2 students just passed. Stay tuned for the final test result on this blog.

Today, the students were asked to do their revision for the coming test on Mon, 14 Jul 2008 on Chapter C1.

1A1 was taught how to use as well as create their own dichotomous key yesterday.

There were many absentees for this lesson yesterday because the NCC boys had to go for a 2 day Camp Feast @ Amoy Quee Camp. Corrections for Chapter 6 Sexual Reproduction & Test

Poor Behaviour of some students in 3E1

Just finished marking 3E1's TYS questions from Topic 3 given on Fri, 27 Jun 2008. It is not a difficult exercise but some of the students still have poor behaviour & attitude.

Chen Weijie, Yee Aijia, Jonathan Chng Thian Ern & Lai Hong Han have all failed to see me to complete this piece of work.

Josephine Chua Sze Ping, Veronique Enah Ham, Chia Zhi Yang Marcus, Deleon Foo Chuan Ning, Johar Shokri B Jakfar Alkhatib & Lee Meng Da are now 2 days late in handing in this piece of assignment, although they were present for lessons.

Farzana Izzati Bte Yusof was absent but she has yet to hand in this assignment too.

Today (Sun, 29 Jun 2008), I create a blog, my first attempt at blogging to allow my students to check if they have handed in their assignments.

I am sure this blog can be use for other purposes that would be beneficial to my General Science and Science (Chemistry) students.
